4th Grade

This page contains information about the Fourth Grade Curriculum and links to the other curriculum resources.

Fourth Grade provides students with ample opportunities to extend the concepts first introduced in grade 3 through a variety of meaningful and age-appropriate academic endeavors. Regional Studies, biographies and intriguing scientific investigations provide the platforms from which students continue to develop their writing and reading skills. Developing flexible thinkers through critical investigation of literature and factual information is a year long goal. Students are encouraged to generate their own standards and make evaluations of the world around them according to these standards. Increased opportunities for independent and cooperative group work situations are used to guide students toward improved levels of independence, accountability, and cooperation.
