Preamble:

The school has LCD projection installed in many places. If you want to project something in your classroom or some other public area of the school, you need to use this booking procedure and observe the rules below.

Procedure:

  • Book projectors by email with Marco Lagarda (Auditorium) by requesting a date and which periods you need. Marco will confirm by email or phone you to pick an alternate date using his schedule. Please specify if you need speakers or internet cable at time of booking.
  • Projector can be booked up to one month in advance (bookings for any month can be made one week prior to the first school day of that month)
  • Normally, bookings at least 48 hours in advance allow AV Personnel to plan the movements of the projectors in an efficient manner.
  • Last minute (current day) booking is acceptable if there is a machine available and AV personnel are available to install and remove the equipment at the hours needed. Keep in mind that your request could be denied on these grounds.
  • Max 2 times per week (multiplied by number of periods)
  • Bookings without use are unfair to other teachers and will be tracked
  • Marco will track unfulfilled requests (i.e. how often a teacher wanted to use it but couldn’t find any empty time slot)
  • Procedure may be adjusted in the future

Rules of Use:

  • The projectors can display any video signal from a VHS, DVD, or computer, BUT you must specify your intended use in order that AV personnel can determine what you need (VHS player, other cables, speakers, computer, etc.)
  • You are not to move the projector to/from your classroom nor should you ever have a student carry the projector for you
  • NEVER move the projector while it is in operation or for at least 2 minutes after it is turned off
  • Turn the projector power OFF (bulbs cost ~US$400) by pressing the Power button twice as soon as your projection is finished (to conserve bulbs as they only last a certain number of hours)
  • Please report any problems with equipment or reservations to Marco Lagarda
