If you want to be able to show student work, share any text or 3-D object, or demonstrate using manipulatives, the document camera is the device to use.

- Booking
- when booking a document camera, you must separately book a data projector to display the image
- All bookings/reservations must be tracked for two main reasons:
- easy method to find last user
- determine usage statistics which informs purchasing for the following year

- Video Cables / Connections
- video signal passes through a VGA cable from the document camera to a data projector (all projectors come with this cables)
- Switching Data to Docment Camera
- it is possible to setup the video signal from teh computer to the document camera then from doc. cam. to the projector which allows the user to alternate between computer and document camera (ask for help from Audiovisual Dept.)
- Directions for use:
- see the directions for use for data projectors
- power on the document camera with the round red button
- place any item or text on the stage and wait for the device to auto-focus
- Features of the document camera
- wide/tele buttons - allow you to zoom (tele) the lens to show small details or go to wide angle to show an entire page/object
- top light - there are two LED overhead light sources to illuminate the stage in a darkened room
- back light - there is a light under the stage to be used to transparent
- save - two images can be stored in the device at a time
- replay - used to show the 2 saved images (one at a time)
- freeze - used to freeze the current image until freeze is pressed again (useful for making smooth transitions while projecting images)
