| 4. | You are now ready to edit the page. You should see a page that looks like this. | Use the toolbar as you would any word processor to edit the text on the page. The Properties Inspector (or toolbar) is context sensitive (i.e. it changes according to what you select on the page) The center area and the quote are your space to add information about you and your class. Feel free to post announcements, newsletters, homework, or links.
| 5. | Use standard template guidelines. | The main ones to pay attention to are Arial, Helvetica, sans font with a size of -1. This size is already set in the template. Please don't change it. Netscape doesn't have that size as an option. To change text, just select some existing text and then start typing your changes. To add new text, go to the end of an existing line, then type new stuff. Click here to see the complete guidelines. |
| 6. | Layout | Web pages don't allow complicated layout very easily. You need to use tables to put stuff on the page in exact locations. Explore the Table menu to see how it works. Use Insert>>Table to make a new table on the page. |
| 7. | Save and Exit. | When you are finished making any change, be sure to Save the document. |
