We wish to extend a warm welcome to those of you who have already decided to teach at ASFM.

This page and the links below, prepared by faculty members and staff, will provide you with useful information about Mexico, Monterrey and our school. It also outlines essential procedures for making your transition a smooth one.

Necessary Information
It is highly recommended that you read all of these sections. 
Name Form (click to download the Word document) If you didn't fill this out at a Recruiting Fair, please fill it out and send it electronically to Lucy Uribe. (mandatory)

Visa Form (click to download the Word document)

This needs to be filled out and sent by email to Lucy Uribe or by mail or fax. (mandatory). Lucy also needs a copy/fax of your Birth Certificate, your highest Diploma, and a Marriage Certificate if applicable.

Orientation Booklet (complete)

You need to read this one thoroughly as it contains instructions for you to complete before arriving as well as information to help your transition. (mandatory). Pay particular attention to these sections:

  • visa procedures
  • tips for moving
  • housing preferences

Curriculum Info

Click this link in order to go to your grade level (& department for MSHS) curriculum. These pages/files will better prepare you as a new teacher before your arrival at ASFM by presenting our specific learning targets and providing information in regards to planning and instruction. 

Technology Info

Please note that we have all Apple computers at our school and you should find out more about Information Technology at ASFM before arriving. Pay particular attention to the Policies section. We have a variety of programs aimed at increasing our technology use and integration.

Orientation to Monterrey
These will help you to know what to expect when you get to Monterrey. This section is optional but is great personal information. Don't forget about this section once you arrive.
