I am new to ASFM and international teaching. I knew from the moment the intensive staff training started that I was at a “top-notch” school. I have not doubted for a second my decision to teach at ASFM. I have many positive things to say about ASFM, Monterrey, and my experiences here; I could and would go on and on given the chance; however, I’ll simplify it with key words and phrases.
| A |
Administration: knowledgeable, experienced, supportive, approachable, dedicated, research driven |
| S |
School structure: rigorous curriculum; continuous, applicable professional development; highly- qualified, enthusiastic, dedicated staff; applies middle school model based on National Middle School Association guidelines, opportunity for profound professional growth |
| F |
Families: supportive families (this was very refreshing for me) , respectful students (I had never been thanked for a lesson… it is an everyday occurrence here!) poor “attitudes”… almost non-existent (if it occurs... refer back to “supportive families!”) |
| M |
Monterrey: a place for balance: the arts, cultural experiences, hiking, biking, modern workout facilities at Huasteca, weekend trips, amazing travel opportunities throughout Mexico, and so much more. |
***I am not sure where to fit this next one in, but I felt it must be added: Your life will be made so much easier by the AMAZING personnel department – I am ever amazed at how well they care for the staff to make life as easy and comfortable as possible in Monterrey.
