Grades 7 Socials/MUN
2005-2008

January 2008.

Working at ASFM has been a privilege and honor. The last three years have been challenging, rewarding and full of excitement. Currently I am in my 12th year of teaching middle school. The last three years have been at ASFM teaching Seventh Grade Social Studies and Model United Nations.

ASFM offers the opportunity for you to become a great teacher. The professional development and support you receive from colleagues and administration is above and beyond any school I have worked at. You will be fully supported in your academic and extracurricular activities. Many teachers are involved in activities like MUN, Drama, NJHS, Math Counts and many others. If you are passionate about something else and want to start it, you will be supported.

The transition of moving to Mexico is made very easy by ASFM. You will be taken care of with visa applications, being met at the border or airport, PTA welcoming package, cultural meetings and new teacher orientation meetings. When you first arrive you will be amazed at how supportive everyone will be. They truly want you to have the best experience possible.

Living in Mexico is great. You will have the opportunity to travel in a culturally rich country. ASFM pays its teachers well enough to experience many different things and you will not have to worry about money. The housing is nice and if you choose to live alone you will be able to afford it. ASFM is located 3 hours south of Texas and many teachers will visit for the weekend to shop, eat out or just relax.

Last but not least, the people. ASFM prides itself on hiring good teachers and good people. You will make life long friends here and be surrounded by teachers who have good intentions. If you have the opportunity to work here, do it! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with your questions. I would love to tell you more about our school and community.
