ASFM is not simply a school, but also a culture and a community. From the moment I arrived here in Monterrey four years ago, I was welcomed into an environment where students, teachers and administrators are able to interact, learn and broaden their educational and social opportunities. A wonderful balance of academic and social development is fostered in our close-knit community. The students are able to build on real life, valuable skills while they interact with their peers and teachers each day at school. Our school community is a very well constructed environment where students and teachers are able to grow academically and professionally.

During my time here at the American School, I have had many opportunities to attend very valuable Professional Development here on campus, and have also been able to pursue further Professional Development outside of school. The learning community at ASFM is not solely for students, but also for teachers alike. The staff is incredibly motivated, innovative, creative and caring. Each new day brings further enhancement of my skills as an educator, classroom manager, person and healthy role model for my students.

Monterrey is a city bustling with plenty of opportunity for adventure and exploration. Whether it’s a challenging hike or climb in the mountains you crave, or simply a stroll around a modern shopping mall, Monterrey, Mexico offers both within moments of one another!
