1.  Blood Drives.
Description:  To donate blood.
Objective: To help people who are experiencing life threatening emergencies, who have cancer, blood disorders, anemia, and other illnesses or people who need regular transfusions in order to live.
Requirements: To go through the donor elegibility rules specified by doctors, such as no piercings or tattoos. You must be healthy, be 18 years or older, and not have donated blood in the last 8 weeks (56 days).
Place:  Blood drives done at our school or at Mitras centro donation center.
Hours:  5 hours each time.

2.  Sponsoring a Child’s Education.
Description:  To develop a campaign in coordination with Lazos that promotes having godsons and giving a scholarship to the less fortunate children of Monterrey.
Objective: To help this children finish their elementary studies.  To get acquainted with the conditions of these children and with the most vulnerable areas of our city.  To find sponsors and organize recreational activities for the children at these schools.
Requirements: To enjoy organizing campaigns, recreational events, and contacting people.
Place:  Topochico’s schools.
Hours obtained: 10 to 30 hours, accordingly.

3 - Benito Juarez English Classes.
Description: English classes are taught on a weekday afternoon to the students of Benito Juarez public school, as well as planning for recreational activities for the students during special holidays.
Objective: To teach a second language to the students of this school and provide them with fun activities that they don’t usually have. To help young children, providing a learning experience for them and for us.
Requirements: To enjoy teaching and working with children.
Place: Benito Juarez School at Santa Catarina, located 3 minutes away from Huasteca Campus.
Hours:  50 hours.

4 – Eduardo Caballero English Classes.
Description: English classes are taught on Saturdays to the students of Eduardo Caballero public school, as well as planning for recreational activities for the students during special holidays.
Objective: To teach a second language to the students of this school and provide them with fun activities that they don’t usually have. To help young children, providing a learning experience for them and for us.
Requirements: To enjoy teaching and working with children.
Place: Eduardo Caballero School at Santa Catarina.
Hours:  90 hours.

5 - Weekend at Work.
Description: Organize entertaining activities for the children of ASFM employees on specific Saturdays.
Objective: To allow the children of ASFM employees to come periodically to ASFM, have fun, and learn more about the place where their parents are working.  To promote the union and friendship between ASFM students and  employees.
Requirements: To enjoy playing and working with children.
Place:  ASFM Huasteca Campus.
Hours:  7 hours each time.

6 - Children with Cerebral Palsy are my Friends.
Description: Getting acquainted with handicapped children and accept them as equal.
Objective:  To visit and share time with these children in order to identify their needs and help them change their environment.  To have fun with them, to help them integrate to society, and to participate in different activities that will help these children.
Requirements: To be sensitive to the needs of handicapped children, to be very patient and love serving others.
Place:  Instituto Nuevo Amanecer.
Hours:  10 to 25 accordingly.

7 – Adopting a Grandparent.
Description: Spending quality time and being in contact with our elderly.
Objective: To share time with the grandparents of the community, to help identify some of their needs and help solve them, to organize recreational activities for them.
Requirements: To be generous and give of your time and patience to our elderly.
Place: DIF Santa Catarina.
Hours:  20 to 30 hours.

8 – Villas Asistenciales English Classes.
Description: English classes are taught on a weekday to the students of Villas Asistenciales, as well as planning for recreational activities for the students during special holidays.
Objective: To teach a second language to the children and provide them with fun activities that they don’t usually have. To help young children, providing a learning experience for them and for us.
Requirements: To enjoy teaching and working with children.
Place:  Villas Asistenciales at Santa Catarina.
Hours:  50 hours.

9 – Constructing an Environment of Love.
Description: On Saturdays, quality time is shared with children victims of intrafamiliar violence.
Objective: Spend quality time with the children, take care of babies, and share stories, games, handcrafts, and musical activities with the grown up children.
Requirements: To be sensitive to the needs of others as well as enjoy working with older children and babies.
Place:  DIF Capullos, la Pastora, Guadalupe N. L.
Hours:  7 hours each time.

10 – Helping Others Help.
Description:  On Saturdays, we dedicate some time to help store and pack things.
Objective:  To help in the distribution of food, clothes, etc.
Requirements:  It will be necessary to do some heavy work.
Place:  Caritas distribution center.
Hours:  4 hours each time.

11 – Visit of Joy.
Description: On Fridays after school, we will be visiting different hospitals, orphanages, daycares, and shelter homes.
Objective: To share a moment of joy and happiness with the less fortunate.
Requirements:  To be very joyful, talkative, and creative.
Place:  Varies.
Hours:  2 to 3 hours each time.

12 – Terry Fox Run.
Description: Participate in different races, help in the development process of the race.
Objective:  To support the Canadian Government in their research towards cancer.
Requirements:  To be in good physical condition.
Place:  Varies
Hours:  25 hours.

13 - Warm Winter.
Description: To collect and distribute toys and clothes to give to a predetermined community.
Objective:  To provide necessary items, such as toys and clothes, to  people who need them the most. 
Requirements:  It will be necessary to do some heavy work.
Place: Santa Catarina Community.
Hours:  7 hours each time.

14 – Proyecto Down / Instituto Down.
Description:  Helping in the integration of handicapped people to society.
Objective:  To spend time with the children with down syndrome and take care of them while their parents are taking conferences.
Requirements:  To be sensitive to the needs of handicapped children, to be very patient and love playing with children.
Place:  Fundación para el Desarrollo de la Familia / Instituto Down.
Hours:  7 hours each time. / Vary according to the activity.

15 – Unidos.
Description:  Helping in the integration of handicapped people to society.
Objective: To help handicapped people socialize and feel part of the society, to help at summer camps and special events.
Requirements:  To be sensitive to the needs of handicapped children, to be very patient and love serving others.
Place:  Parque España, Guadalupe N.L.
Hours: 10 to 60 hours, accordingly.

16 – Assistance Bank.
Description: To collect money for the different projects and needs.
Objective: To help obtain money and find sponsors, to design and run bazaars, raffles, bake sales, etc.
Requirements: To be honest and enthusiastic.
Place:  ASFM Huasteca Campus.
Hours:  5 to 8 hours each time.

17 - Clean up Huasteca / Caring for the Ecology.
Description:  Students go to assigned areas of the community where help is needed to promote a better environment.
Objective: Motivate people from the community to respect the canyon and promote environmental campaigns both within and outside the ASFM   community.
Requirements: To be interested in environmental preservation.
Place: Chipinque, La Huasteca Park, etc.
Hours:  4 to 7 hours each time. / Vary according to the project.

18 – Curing Cancer with Love.
Description: To celebrate and spend quality time with children who have cancer.
Objective: Create a special week in which fundraising activities take place in order to help these children and to spend special holidays and celebrations with them.
Requirements: To be sensitive to the needs of the children who have cancer and their mothers.
Place:  ASFM Huasteca Campus or Alianza Anticáncer Infantil, Col. Fabriles.
Hours:  5 to 15 hours, accordingly.

19 – Helping Hands.
Description: Helping in the creation of educational materials for children with down syndrome.
Objective: To create materials for special education classes, such as finding images for vocabulary words, creating brochures, videos, and helping in the translation of texts.
Requirements: To dominate the English language and to like computers.
Place:  At home, at Tedi.
Hours:  10 to 15 hours.

20 – Class Adventure.
Description:  Students locate a need in their community and help find a solution for it.
Objective:  To work in collaboration with their classmates in order to identify and help solve a need in their community.
Requirements:  To be in Character Education 11 class.
Place:  ASFM Huasteca Campus.
Hours:  Vary accordingly.

21 – Acciones en Cadena.
Description:  Students will help with the accomplishment of projects such as the construction of day care centers, small libraries, etc.
Objective:  To satisfy the needs of the community and work in collaboration with other schools, the government, families, and citizens.
Requirements:  To enjoy political experiences and working with people.
Place: Varies.
Hours: Vary according to the specific project.

22 – Trick or Treat.
Description:  Students collect money for Unicef.
Objective:  To help obtain money in order to assist people of Unicef.
Requirements:  To be honest and enthusiastic.
Place:  ASFM Huasteca Campus.
Hours: 4 to 6 hours.
