Bach 1/Grade 10 is a very challenging year for ASFM students. Robert Frost writes in his poem "A Road Not Taken,"

I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

By choosing to stay at ASFM after Grade 9, students understand that they have taken the hard road. They understand that the academic expectations on them are going to be much higher than at any other school in Monterrey, but the end result will be worth it.

Choosing to stay here speaks to our student work ethic and character. Our Bach 1/Grade 10 students have left middle school and entered high school. They are now able to start taking Pre-AP English and Honors Math, they are involved in numerous extra-curricular activities both in and outside of school, and they are required to meet community service requirements. Needless to say, they are very busy young men and women.

Bach 1/Grade 10 is a time where these students start showing their individuality and start making plans for college. Monterrey possesses some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in all of Mexico. Many students are preparing for these schools, and some are preparing for an education in the United States, Canada, or another part of the world. The students at ASFM understand that that college preparation, wherever it may be, starts in Bach 1/Grade 10.

Whether you are a teacher, a student, a parent or an administrator, welcome to Bach 1/Grade 10 at ASFM.

Here we make a difference!
