By the time
students reach grade 12, many years of learning and
development
have taken place. As a result, seniors know themselves
better and know where they want to go more than they ever have
in the past. They have discovered their personal talents and
interests and have a good idea of what and where they want to
study in the
next 4 years. They have set the foundation for what they
want to study based on the interest garnered from their classes
at ASFM while recognizing that there are other fields of study
that interest them less.
The teachers
at the grade 12/Bach 3 level are as diverse in their academic
interests as their students, and we all consider ourselves very
fortunate to work with other experts in their field. While we
teachers do not have much overlap in subject content, we do have
one major thing in common: the students! Although we are in the
process of sending our students into a larger community of learners,
we continue to monitor the academic, social and personal well
being of our students.
“Bear
in mind that the wonderful things you learn in schools are the
work of many generations. All this put in your hands as your
inheritance in order that you may receive it, honor it, add to
it, and one day faithfully hand it on to your children.”
Albert Einstein
We enjoy the
unique educational experience provided by “senior year” and
we wish the best of luck to all of our students.
