Information Protection

American School Foundation of Monterrey, A.C. will maintain strict protection mechanisms to ensure the security, integrity, privacy and confidentiality of the collected information.

Administration

The collected personal information will be used for the following purposes: to provide education to students, to perform activities for their development, and to provide them several services including transportation, dining, and medical care (if necessary), among others.

Personal Data

For purposes of this privacy notice, we may gather personal information about you by several means: information provided to us directly through the application form, data input at our website, and other legally recognized sources.

We may collect one, some or all of the following information: full name, gender, address, phone, family members information, academic skills and behavior, health, psychological and financial data. Sensitive Personal and Financial Data

In order to comply with the principles provided in this notice, personal information and sensitive data such as those related to health, psychological information, financial and proprietary information will be collected and processed. Our commitment is that these records will be addressed under the most strict security measures to ensure confidentiality.

In accordance to Articles 8 and 9 of the Federal Law of Protection of Personal Data in the Possession of Private Parties, we require your consent to handle your sensitive personal and financial data, which is why we request your authorization as to whether you approve of this management or not.

 

If you do not provide this information we would not be able to support student academic development, improve our service and attention, as well as notice you about our events and student related situations.

Cookies

Access, Correction, Cancellation and Objection

You are entitled to access your personal information we have and to know the details of its treatment. You can rectify them in case of inconsistencies, as well as instruct us to delete or object to their treatment should specific needs arise.

The mechanisms through which these rights may be executed rely in the presentation of the respective request at our Information Security Department located at Ave. I. Morones Prieto 1500, Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, C.P. 66190.

At any time you may revoke the consent that you have granted this institution for the management of your personal data. You can request us to stop making use of it, to rectify it in case of inaccuracies, instruct us to cancel or delete any information should you consider it to be excessive or irrelevant to the purposes that its collection observed or to object its treatment for specific purposes. To enforce this, you must submit your request to the following address: Ave. I. Morones Prieto 1500, Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, C.P. 66190, additionally presenting an official ID, Voter Registration Card, Passport, among other requirements. Depending on the type of demand you submit, this could result in an inability of American School Foundation of Monterrey, A.C. to continue supporting the student's academic development, in case of which you would be informed in due course.

Your request must be handed in with the following information: documents authenticating the identity of the incumbent or legal representative, document with the name of the incumbent, as well as an email or phone number in order to be able to provide you with the follow up to your appeal. You petition should include a thorough description of the personal data on which you wish to exercise any of the rights mentioned above, in addition to any other element that helps to locate such personal information.

There will be an estimated time of response of maximum 20 labor days to fulfill your request. We will reach you at the phone number or email address provided and communicate you timely about its proceedings.

Transferences

Your personal data may be transferred and managed inside or outside of Mexico, by people not related to American School Foundation of Monterrey, A.C. Your personal data may be shared with our service providers in order to offer assessments, transportation, food, medical care (if necessary), yearbook printing services, organization of recreational activities, and to improve the academic development of students.

We are committed not to transfer your personal data to third parties without your consent, except as provided in Article 37 of the Federal Law of Protection of Personal Data in the Possession of Private Parties and to abide by its terms should any transference be performed.

In special situations, following the request from the incumbent or legal representative, we could share student ́s psychological evaluations with external therapists previously appointed by the incumbent in order to provide special psychological treatment to the student

Since we transfer sensitive personal data, such as health data to health care providers with the purpose of having a proper care, we require your express consent, in accordance with the provisions of Article 9 of the Federal Law of Protection of Personal Data in the Possession of Private Parties, this is the reason why we request you to indicate whether or not you agree with the transfer of information.

 

Updates of Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to modify or update this privacy notice at any time in observance of legislative or jurisprudential revisions, internal policies, new requirements for services or products delivery, or market practices.
