Welcome to the ASFM Grade 6 Team!
You are now part of a fantastic group of professionals and a wonderful school community. ASFM’s reputation is credited, in part, to the dedicated, motivated, and collegial staff, and it all begins at Grade 6. However, a school climate is nothing without its leadership. Our administrators are supportive, approachable, knowledgeable, and are committed to progress and staff development. This inspires a climate of growth. You will be challenged at ASFM and feel that the environment itself is propelling you to become the best professional that you can be.
The sixth grade is unique at ASFM because it marks the transition to middle school and our Huasteca Campus. Students and parents are apprehensive and anxious about this move. However, with a consistent approach and a gentle hand, our new students soon meet the high standards of responsibility, independence and organization that we value here at ASFM. There is no question that Middle School is a demanding time for students. You will find that teachers here understand the complexity of adolescence. In fact, that knowledge becomes the driving force behind much of our instructional practices.
