COVID-19 Preventative Program
Symptom-Free Zone
The health of our community is our highest priority. We ask that any student or staff with flu, cold, or COVID-like symptoms, including runny nose, cough, fever, body aches, etc., remain home. We encourage all families and staff to prioritize health and stay home to rest and recuperate when they are sick.
Masking Requirements
According to Nuevo León health authorities, masks are required indoors; outdoors masks are optional.
COVID-19 Positive Quarantine
Per the guidelines published by the Secretaria de Educacion Pública (SEP), students and staff that are COVID-19 positive must quarantine from campus for 7-calendar days. Students and staff may return to campus if they are symptom-free after 7-days. Persons having symptoms longer than 7-days must be symptom-free for 24 hours prior to returning to campus.
Please contact the school doctors if your child tests positive for COVID-19.
Close Contact Quarantine
ASFM will no longer require the quarantine of those who are in close contact with a COVID-19-positive person. We request that the close contact wear a tight-fitting mask for 5-days after the date of contact to prevent further viral transmission.
ASFM Healthy Campus Measures
ASFM prides itself on being a healthy campus. We have invested a tremendous amount to ensure that our students and staff can learn in a positive and safe environment. We will continue to utilize our MERV 12 and 16 dual filter indoor air filtration system to offer high-quality indoor air. Additionally, hand sanitizing gel remains in every hallway and our maintenance team continues to sanitize our school facilities on a regular basis.
