ASFM was founded in 1928 as the American School of Monterrey, driven by the need for a school with an American curriculum to serve the children of international families arriving in Monterrey. In 1944, the school became a non-profit association, changing its name to American School Foundation of Monterrey.
As a non profit institution, the school has grown in its almost 100 years thanks to the interest and generosity of many Eagle-proud individuals, including parents and companies, that have helped make the school what it is today, one of the best private schools in Mexico. With avant-garde facilities and technology, and following an ambitious strategic master plan working to fulfill its mission and vision, ASFM strives to position its graduates in the most recognized colleges around the world. The success of many of ASFM’s graduates can be attributed to the excellent preparation they received at the school.
